About

Maui Business Resources was developed by the Purple Maiʻa Foundation in partnership with the Maui Economic Development Board as part of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (U.S. SBA) Community Navigator program. The Community Navigator Pilot Program is an American Rescue Plan initiative designed to reduce barriers that small businesses, including those owned by disadvantaged groups such as veterans, women, and those from rural communities and communities of color, often face in accessing critical support. This tool was designed to address a commonly held pain point of small business owners in rural parts of Maui County, many of whom experience barriers to finding and accessing relevant resources to propel their businesses forward. Our team is grateful for the support of our Hub and Spoke partners and the U.S. SBA. We are also grateful for each of the small business owners who provided their time and feedback during product development. Thank you all.

Maui Business Resources is funded (in part) through a grant with the U.S. Small Business Administration. All opinions, conclusions, and/or recommendations expressed herein are those of the author(s) and do not necessarily reflect the views of the SBA.

Since 1982, the Maui Economic Development Board (MEDB) has been working with businesses, government, educators, and community leaders to support the development of a robust and balanced economy that benefits the people of Maui County.
